Wicked
Just saw the touring company of Wicked at Proctors in Schenectady. Great show.
We saw the "standby" Elphaba. Not the understudy, there was one of those, too. Dunno. She was great. Very, very good cackle, when it finally comes out. Doesn't make the hair stand up on the back of your neck like she did, but still very good. (I met The Wicked Witch of the West when I was about 6 and she was giving a talk at UCONN while my mother was the publicity director for the School of Fine Arts. I remember only two things: I met her, and she did the cackle once because everyone always asks her to.)
