- Stop telling these unsigned seniors they are slept on and tell them to respond to those texts and calls from D2/D3/NAIA/JUCO coaches! Your mama doesn’t have all this cash to send you to a bogus prep school for you to end up at this level anyway! GO TO SCHOOL!
- Hey AAU Coaches please stop tweeting out your records! No one cares! I saw a team get beat by 50 this weekend and this week they’ve had multiple gets get D1 offers! College coaches are looking for players! Either you have them or you don’t.
- It’s funny seeing AAU teams already recruiting for next years team when their current roster is full of unsigned kids! Many of which will still be unsigned in the spring. Use all that clout you have with coaches and get these dudes in school before you lie to the next group!
- Each travel ball season I set one goal and that’s to get every rising senior a scholarship. Not wins, not trophies or bragging rights! This past week we reached that goal with all 9 of my 2021 guys now holding D1 scholarship offers! We ain’t done yet!
- It always kills me at AAU events when coaches walk around mean muggin each other! Notice at live periods college coaches will speak and sit next to each other at games. Point is enjoy competing! But sure to show love and respect understanding the time and grind we all put in!
- NCAA has added back a spring LIVE period weekend for travel teams in 2020: April 17-19 April 24-26
- Advice for independent squads in July: Follow teams that have players getting recruited - push for matchups w/ guys that have offers. Going 5-0 at the dumpster juice showcase getting bogus tweets is a waste of time play some heat and if your kids show well the phone will ring.
- Parents and Players stop asking what circuit a club is on. Ask the number of kids that go to college from their program. What types of schools are they going to? Understand that not all programs are created equal. Put yourself in the best place to achieve your goals!
- I want to thank everyone who has shown me and my family support over the past 32 hours so! My fathers killer has been captured. We will move forward in our healing now! Continue to keep us in your prayers!
- Live period advice for parents & players: Many more rogue teams & roster moves in AAU since Covid This July dont get caught playing for the Pizza Crust Elite! Playing with your friends or a trainer/coach who gassed you up won’t have coaches come see you on court 57 this summer
- So the NCAA set out to take away power from AAU coaches with the new recruiting calendar and failed big time! Now more than ever it’s important to be aligned with programs that have reputation, resources and relationships to help a kids recruitment!
- With the new recruiting calendar it’s so important to play with a program that has a track record of helping kids get to college! These new pop up squads coached by a family friend won’t cut it! Get with someone that has contacts and proven successes in regards to recruitment!
- Advice for ALL travel coaches in July: If your team scores on that little BLOB play you called or some bogus YouTube set you yelled out. Dont look these colleges coaches in the eyes right after! No one cares that you THINK you can coach big fella! It’s weird and creepy folks!
