Asim Munir should at least release Imran Khan for a day to make a speech reflecting #Pakistan's (and the wider Ummah's) sentiments on #Palestine. At the moment, all we have is #Erdogan talk of "restraint from all parties" and Bin Salman "monitoring the unprecedented situation".

The most powerful force in #Pakistan is not the army; it is the people. Ordinary Pakistanis are so powerful that Establishment has spent more than a year trying to engineer election results, and still failed. If Pakistanis believe they are powerful, they can rescue their votes.

Erdogan gambled on Syrians even as many ordinary Turks turned on him for it. His Muslim affinity kept him closer to the people than Assad. He chose the right side of history and dragged many Turks with him. Credit to Erdogan for believing. Turkiye comes out brighter from this.

Iran's attack on Israel yesterday did demonstrate one thing: It is not just America that protects Israel, but also the Arab states. Iran seems to have reached Tel Aviv directly despite not just the Iron Dome, but also the 'Arab Dome'. Quite a statement in this regard.
