    Carson Wentz once stayed in a game with a torn ACL, LCL and meniscus to throw a go-ahead TD pass in a game that had No. 1 seed ramifications for the #Eagles. And now he played 2 1/2 games with a torn labrum for the #Vikings. He’s not the player he was in 2017 or 2019 or even 2021

    Carson Wentz came in on two weeks notice, was thrown into the fire, became seriously injured, and played through that for weeks. The Chargers night was extremely difficult to watch, frankly. It was almost scary. Couldn't believe he was still in. Dude is as tough as they come.

    The Philadelphia Eagles gave Carson Wentz a $128 million, 4-year contract extension that kicks in next season and then did almost nothing to help him succeed. In 21 years covering this team & the NFL, I never saw anything like it.

    Former #Eagles player told me: “Doug wasn’t the problem. Carson isn’t the problem. The PROBLEM is still there.” This feeling has been expressed to me by several others recently. More people around the league have shared similar thoughts with me over the past week in Tampa.

    Carson Wentz is invested in Philadelphia/South Jersey communities. It’s not just about him. It’s about family, friends, his AO1 Foundation, his Thy Kingdom Crumb food truck, friendships & relationships. I’m told he doesn’t want out of Philly & he hasn’t told that to anyone.

    I'm told by 2 people with direct knowledge of the situation that Doug Pederson stood up for Frank Reich when management wanted to fire him as OC after the 2016 season. Reich stayed, #Eagles won the Super Bowl the next season and the #Colts hired him away as head coach.
