Just helped a client understand that a salary of £110k leaves her just £3.8k better off than salary of £100k. So now she's going to sacrifice the £10k and end up with £11.5k in her pension. £11.5k v £3.8k. How many others are doing this? Our tax system is utterly broken.

What @reformparty_uk did with this man is beyond comprehension. Mr Lowe is just next level - in the good sense.
Usual insults being thrown at me for stating the obvious that Gazan children and their families shouldn't be allowed into the UK for medical help. I don't care. It's all true, just nobody else will say it. What happens when they arrive with their family? They claim asylum. They

Friend asked me: "Why don’t they just increase income tax by 2% it’ll fix a lot of fluffing around, I know it was their promise, but f--k me, every other tax f----d about with." My response: Categorically no. The amount of tax coming in is not the problem and never will be.

Our values tend to be anti-rape, pro-free speech, pro-women's rights, embracing most of The Enlightenment, OK with gays ("not that there's anything wrong with that"), a sense of humour, a fondness for beer/Pinot Grigio etc. What are yours?

The 4-6 weeks mentioned have passed @JackGilbert13. Any chance we could have an update on this story of yours please?

No, it confirms the absolute power of the judiciary to side with MPs who've had three+years to "stand up for our democracy" & have done nothing of the sort. @Observer_Owl @Conservatives @JamesDelingpole
Today’s ruling reaffirms the sovereignty of Parliament & why I resigned as a Minister & lost the Party Whip - to stand up for our democracy. It also teaches future governments that there will always be checks & balances on their power. I look forward getting back to work asap.
