    #RestInPeace #JermaineWright London FA has lost 1 of our finest Council Members due to #Covid-19. Jermaine was also the Fixture & Referees Secretary of the Hackney & Leyton SFL. He will be sorely missed and we have some big shoes to fill. Our hearts & prayers are with his family.

    Ghana-born goalkeeper Arthur Wharton is considered not only England’s but the world’s first Black professional footballer. He started his career at Darlington and was part of Preston North End’s so-called ‘Invincibles’ during the 1880s. #BlackHistoryMonth
