This was due to damage to the overhead electric wires meaning services could not move around Stevenage, but services are now on the move. On your other point, LNER is owned by the DfT after the franchise was handed back in 2018. ^Cameron

I once drove from edinburgh to london (less than 8hrs if you don't stop) and local london friends acted like it was an insane thing to do. it's about the same as the drive from boston to dc.
