- She did it! @KatiePiper_ OBE and the reason our charity exists. An incredible woman with unparalleled strength ❤️ she writes: ‘My story has been a very public one, but starting my charity, the @KPFoundation gave me purpose after so much was taken from me’.
- It’s incredible to see someone thrive like @Raichemederick_ has, she is such an incredible inspiration to those at the beginning of the journey. She adds ’My injuries happened as a child and I am the owner of rarest diamonds in the world on my body and these are mine’ 💎
- ‘As a child with burns you know you look different, but you don’t quite understand the impact you have on others. My scars are me they have brought me so many opportunities to flourish, but also gave me many challenges to overcome.’ @RaicheMederick
- “Just a little reminder that your skin looks always good on you. Embrace it, love it and cuddle it. I know that sometimes it could be hard to show your scars without overthinking cause someone could try to define you by then. To me my scars are just pure magic” Veronica Yoko
- Donna accessed psychotherapy support from The KPF which helped her regain confidence in her day-to-day life along with hand therapy sessions from our physiotherapist. Daily home accidents can happen to anyone, at any time, and remember #aburnisforlife!
- “I don’t know where I’d be now if it wasn't for the KPFoundation. Katie is so selfless and if she can help in any way she always will. I really have her to thank entirely as I wouldn’t be here, accepting my scars and having a life without her.” To donate: bit.ly/3zPONsm
- Did you know it's #nationalburnsawarenessday on Wednesday? In 2022 8,520 adults were severely burned or scaled in the UK. This does not include the thousands of people who visit the A&E departments. KPF is here for adult survivors with a blended rehabilitation service.
- We are so honoured to announce that our incredible founder @KatiePiper_ charitable efforts have been recognised with an OBE on the Queen’s New Years Honours List for Services To Charity & Burns Survivors. As she said in her statement ‘This OBE its for US’ ♥️ #KPFoundation
- @CatrinPugh was told that because of the injuries sustained from her accident, where she was left with 96% burns, that she would not be able to become a physiotherapist. This week she graduated and we couldn't be more proud to have her as a member of our team at #KPFoundation.
- On #MentalHealthAwarenessDay we hope this quote by one of the amazing #BurnSurvivors on the wall of our Rehabilitation Centre helps with nurturing your own mental health. @KatiePiper_ designed the service so that mental well-being is supported as well as physical. #mentalhealth
