- Yesterday, Dec 31st, there were THIRTEEN NHL games played, including the Winter Classic. Today, Jan 1st New Year’s Day, there is one NHL game…. Beyond perplexed by this scheduling. Crowding the spectacle of the Winter Classic with twelve other games is such a weird choice.
