- Recently, someone suggested on our suggestion board that we discuss the “dangers of self-diagnosis”. There are no “dangers of self-diagnosis”. There is nothing to be gained from improperly diagnosing oneself, as most institutions require evaluation for access to support (1/?)
- We love using picrews, but they very rarely offer representation for many disabilities. Here is our indefinite thread on picrews that offer representation! 💌
- Hello pals! We want to take time to say thank you to everyone who has submitted applications to the stream team so far. We want to remind everyone that we are not currently accepting members who have a "no politics" rule or something similar in their space onto the team. 🧵
- Replying to @DisabledCCCDisability affects every aspect of life: work, social relationships, energy, and more. Many disabled people that receive funds for their disability do not get enough to cover expenses because the amount is often not reviewed for ability to maintain basic needs security.
- Replying to @DisabledCCCDisabilities do not suddenly disappear because you gave one disabled person a certain amount of money; disabilities are lifetime journeys themselves, or the recovering from a disabling event can take a lifetime. Please do not judge your friends for asking for support monthly.
- Replying to @DisabledCCCPeople who receive disability may not be able to work and may even be limited in how many “donations” they can receive before they are pulled off of financial support.

- Replying to @DisabledCCCDisabled people who can work may have their hours limited, and that is if they can even get a job, since many locations discriminate against disabled people through their job requirements (i.e. lifting a certain number of pounds, standing for a number of hours per day, etc.).
