EXCL @GBNEWS: Police Scotland failed to investigate a grooming gang in Glasgow. Care records reveal that officers made a 'tentative inquiry' at a care home after a girl's name appeared in an investigation. But they never spoke to her. Now she has spoken to me about her ordeal.

Britain’s grooming gangs scandal is attracting attention. It’s happened before, but now it seems different. I’ve dedicated most of my career in journalism to covering it. Because it’s the most appalling atrocity in modern British history. In this thread, I’ll tell you what I

Thousands of Dutch locals surround the full perimeter of the Airborne Cemetery, commemorating the 80th anniversary of Operation Market Garden. The Dutch have been immense all week. They have turned up in droves at every event. They do this every year. Incredible people. 🇳🇱🇬🇧

Chatting with an asylum seeker on the bus. He’s from Kuwait - one of the safest countries in the world - and has been in Britain since 2021. He’s never worked. Lives in central London. Catches up with friends on his iPhone. So much evidence of total system failure in one man.

I've had dozens of interviews with survivors of grooming gangs. They are all immensely brave. But by far my most harrowing interview was with a father who was threatened by the police when he tried to rescue his daughter from a rape den. Pure helplessness and pain.
Whoever ordered the arrest of fathers trying to protect their daughters from gang rape should be in prison for life

In 2022 I told Rotherham politicians live on @GBNEWS that I was coming for them with new reporting on their failure to confront the child abuse gangs. In 2023, they were all deselected by the Labour Party. In 2025, I've got bigger targets lined up. You're on notice. Standby.

Derek Heggie has pleaded guilty to making racially aggravated comments. But what did he post? In videos referring to Muslims, Heggie said "young white girls are being raped by these grooming gangs" The prosecution said his comments were "inflammatory"

No police officer or government employee has ever been imprisoned for their gross misconduct in dealing with the grooming gangs horror. But I’ve got plans to expose many of them in 2025 and reveal some of the senior leaders who failed to tackle the atrocity. Stay tuned.

An IOPC whistleblower has told @thetimes that the investigation into Rotherham abuse gang failures “barely scratched the surface” and deliberately avoided senior police officers. The probe examined 47 officers. None lost their jobs. The most severe sanction? A written warning.

Trying to film some interviews in Rotherham for reaction to the vote in parliament last night. No one would speak to us. Pakistanis at the market claimed they didn’t know it was going on. A white man warned “anyone who puts their head above the parapet gets shot.” Just silence.

We’ve failed to openly discuss just how appalling the grooming gangs abuse is. Many of the survivors endured nothing short of torture. So why do Britons know more about George Floyd than this national atrocity?

I know there are still guilty men — in the police and the councils — who still need to face justice. For example, for police officers in Rotherham, there were 265 allegations of misconduct, with 91 investigations involving 47 officers. Of those, only five suffered any penalties.

“What is civilisation? I don’t know. I can’t define it in abstract terms, yet. But I think I can recognise it when I see it.” Turning to Notre Dame, Clarke added: “And I’m looking at it now.”
