- Can we get a REAL alternative to sites like Deviant Art and Art Station? I constantly find myself wondering why there hasn't been some sort of evolution of artist social media platforms. It'd be so nice to feel involved in a community of specifically just artists again. 😭
- Recently had a chatter saying my model looks “cheap” LOL Please remember that while the standard for rendering models is often painterly, there are those that like to try something off the beaten path. Cel shading and simple rendering does not mean inexpensive or less effort.
- So much of the AI Art discourse is filled with a genuine misunderstanding of artists. We know that AI is going to take over every industry and that it can do some pretty neat stuff. But a lot of people that dunk on artists misunderstand that art isn't just a product for us. 🧵
