- DOJ is violating its own internal policies on this case. The Ashcroft Memo requires they charge the “highest provable offense” and seek consistent sentences with other cases brought by DOJ. This prosecution is an absolute laughable joke. Thousands have been sent to prison forBREAKING | NBC News: Federal charges have been filed against Hunter Biden in a case involving taxes and gun possession charge, he is expected to plead guilty to the tax charges only. He is expected to get pre-trial diversion for the gun charge. More to come.

- I’ve now read the new Indictment twice. It is criminalizing speech, thought, legal (right or wrong) positions, and disinformation. It also is shockingly manipulative of statutes and theories which require enormous legal wrangling.

- Perspective on the Hunter Biden deal: I’ve reviewed data on 189,000 firearm possession cases by DOJ. Not a single diversion. In fact, among all cases prosecuted by DOJ less than 1% were resolved by a diversion.
