I don't know who needs to hear this, but it's absolutely okay to tweet in support and concern for Asian Americans without disclosing your personal relationships to Asian Americans. It actually makes us feel safer to know that you care even if we are not your wife, kids, etc

My dad, a software engineer, found the birth announcement he sent out when I was born and it is so endearingly nerdy I can't even <3

While I'm really glad more people are holding tech companies accountable, it sucks that the current, often more diverse teams take the heat while early employees who shaped the culture and made millions off it fly under the radar of criticism.

POC supporting one another terrifies them bc in the past they could always rely on wealthy Asians to stay silent.

Seeing men in tech try to distance themselves from the Google guy by labeling him a nerd, basement dweller, etc... no, he's one of your own.

The discourse around colorism in In The Heights is painfully familiar to the erasure of dark-skinned Asians in Crazy Rich Asians which begs the question... why do we keep entrusting Jon Chu with these projects? Two times in a row is not an accident.

So fucking funny to see wealthy tech people who ditched NYC for their second homes, suddenly move back and declare "NYC is back, baby!" 🙊 I don't even live there anymore but I'm annoyed. A city can't come 'back', a city is both its good times and bad 🤷🏻‍♀️
