For the record.When @BorisJohnson invited colleagues to join his Gov.He was explicit that we had to agree to his strategy of leaving on the 31st Oct with or without a deal.We all need to reflect on our behaviour & professionalism in committing to a strategy agreed only weeks ago.- Prime Minister: this is not sustainable and it will only get worse: for you, for the Conservative Party and most importantly of all the country. You must do the right thing and go now.
- I’m backing Boris. He got the big calls right, whether it was ordering more vaccines ahead of more waves of covid, arming 🇺🇦 early against the advice of some, or stepping down for the sake of unity. But now, Britain needs him back. We need to unite to deliver on our manifesto 1/2

- A day is a long time in politics... Given today's news, it's clear that we should turn to @RishiSunak to become our next Prime Minister. Rishi is immensely talented, will command a strong majority in the parliamentary Conservative Party, and will have my full support & loyalty.
- Following allegations of antisemitism, we will disengage with the NUS, including through funding. Jewish students need to have confidence that they are being represented, and student bodies must speak fairly for everyone. This will remain until issues are suitably addressed.
