The #PostalService delivered 1.2 billion prescriptions in 2019! Because of the USPS, 70-year-old Army veteran Jack Bainbridge doesn't have to make a 90-mile round trip to the VA Medical Center to get his prescriptions. He simply walks to his mailbox. bit.ly/2XOAMbI

We interrupt the regularly scheduled “Hell No” programming with a “Hell Yeah.” Letter carriers have served American homes & businesses for 250 years. Adding this to the 376 million pieces of mail & packages we deliver to 169 million addresses every day—no problem! 💪

FACT CHECK: Letter carriers have safely and securely delivered mail-in ballots for decades, including huge spikes in 2020 and 2022. Any insinuation that the Postal Service and its 650,000 dedicated employees aren’t equipped for this election season is entirely false.

Make no mistake, this is an attack on letter carriers, on all 640,000 postal employees, on 8 million jobs attached to USPS. A $1.9 T attack on an industry central to our economy, on 51.5 million rural households & businesses, on over 300 million Americans who rely on USPS #HellNo

When she heard a fire alarm go off inside an apartment complex on her route, carrier Dixie Manns rushed to help people in the building that housed mostly elderly residents. She banged on residents' doors, asked them to evacuate & called 911. Dixie saved the lives of 40 people.

Fun fact: The Postal Service is funded by the sale of postage and stamps, not taxpayers.
The Postal Service is supposed to break even, but poor management is costing taxpayers billions. This is a prime example of what @DOGE and my Delivering on Government Efficiency committee will work to fix.

Not only is USPS self-funded, but it’s a public service created by the Founding Fathers. Slippery slope privatizing constitutionally created bodies — perhaps Congress next?!
I’ve been saying for years we should sell/privatize the @USPS. American taxpayers should not be subsidizing an organization that is losing billions every single year. Trump is right, privatizing the post office would be a significant way to cut waste and allow a private company
