    RIP Stan Savran. Not just a Pittsburgh media icon but a Pittsburgh icon, period. A good friend, true peer and thoroughly good man. It’s a honor to have known& worked with him. “Love the show” will long be remembered. Stan did it right.

    If this is @_BigBen7 ’s last season, he deserves monster support from the fan base for the rest of it starting tomorrow at Heinz Field. He’s one of the 3 most important people in franchise history. W/o Ben, we’re still reminiscing about the ‘70s.

    My Sid story: When my mom passed, I got home &there was a msg from Sid on my machine. His words of condolence made me cry. He was 18. Calling from Latvia where Canada was playing in the world championships. Amazing guy. Happy birthday, #87.

    If Steelers miss playoffs, it won't be b/c they couldn't win at New Orleans. It'll be b/c they L at Oak& Denver, b/c they tied Cleve, &b/c they blew a 16-pt halftime lead vs. LA. The organization must take a close look at why that happened. B/c things like that happen too often.
