- Fred Akers believed in me. As a freshman kid, playing on the road against the @NCAA #3 team, I was a nobody. He came to my locker, sat down, & said, “You know what I know. I know how good you are. Everyone else will know soon.”That’s all I needed to hear.
- Hi all- I told you that Our Little Show was about to be not-so-little, & I meant it. It’s time to take the show to the next level. Though I’ve had a nice run at @statesman, & they’ve been good to me, I’ve been given an opportunity to take the show where I’ve always wanted to.
- I went to drop my kids off at camp, and this happened. I met James, whose wife works in the store. I priced bobble heads and heard about the deep state. Stories to follow. “The Jeff Ward Show” airs 3pm-6pm on ESPN (102.7 FM) and is available on every podcast platform.

- For those asking…it’s been awhile since I’ve kicked. (Uh, a long while.) That said, the way Dallas looked tonight, 50 percent on PAT’s is progress, so even I can’t screw them up. Okay, I’ll do it, but do I have to go to practice?

- Radically overcompensating on kicks is a disaster. For Brett Maher (0-4 on PATs), it’s all about his shoulder rotation. On two kicks his right should trailed (miss right), on two others, his right should over compensated (hook.) Think: Golf swing and upper body.
- Sam Ehlinger didn’t deserve to lose today; Tom Herman did. No @TexasFootball player has carried a team more (VY had help.) Herman, like other underachieving, overpaid coaches, gets a Covid “pass “ this season. He’s a misplayed onside kick in Lubbock from being 0-3 in awful #Big12
