My name is Yoann, I go by “yo252yo“.

I’m a transmedia author doing all kinds of things at the junction of contemporary art, philosophy, academia, technology and pop culture. My production rarely fits existing categories, but I am definitely focused on writing, that is to say language and semantics more than visual media. I try to limit my work to things I wish existed but don’t see anyone else making.

The main themes in my work are:

• Meta-textuality, hyperstition and the boundary between fact and fiction.
• Memetic studies and posthuman subjects.
• Philosophy of the mind, the self, and language.
• The arbitrariness of the status-quo, with the hope to reopen the field of contingencies.
• Counter cultural movements rooted in decolonial studies and anticapitalism.
• Reappropriating technology out of the cyberpunk dystopian hellish state it is in, through both tools and play aimed at re-enchanting the world with radical imagination.

My main influences are Mark Fisher, Theodore Adorno, Jean Baudrillard, Max Haiven, and I’ll make some sort of better list next time I revamp this website.
