We'll see sunny and windy conditions through lunchtime, with clouds and thunderstorms developing after around noon. Thunderstorms are expected to arrive this afternoon between 1 PM and 4 PM from west to east. We have a marginal (1/5) risk for severe weather, with isolated damaging wind gusts possible amongst some of the thunderstorms this afternoon. Storms will evolve into a steady rain during the late afternoon, with downpours possible at times. Rain finally clears out after 10 PM, with a half an inch to an inch of rain expected. Overnight lows will drop into the 40s and 50s.</p><figure> <img src="https://ewscripps.brightspotcdn.com/fe/5c/1a98c9f84ca3b0e00f69e5cbc7c1/rain-chances-bar-graph.png"></figure><figure> <img src="https://ewscripps.brightspotcdn.com/3b/22/fa724c9a4846addd5e00f75307d2/adi-futurecast-am.png"></figure><p>Tomorrow will start off cool and breezy with clear skies. We'll see mostly sunny skies Monday along with cooler temperatures in the 60s by the afternoon. Breezy conditions out of the N at 10-15 mph during the morning will calm down and turn out of the S at 5-10 mph during the afternoon. Overnight lows will drop into the 40s, with partly cloudy skies expected.</p><figure> <img src="https://ewscripps.brightspotcdn.com/49/0b/cd9238294b978f951315ba40b518/temperature-bar-graph-5-day.png"></figure><p>Tuesday and Wednesday will continue the cooler trend, with temperatures in the 50s and low 60s. We'll see dry conditions continue for the rest of the week, with just a stray shower possible on Friday.       <content:encoded><![CDATA[<html lang="en">    <head>        <meta charset="utf-8">        <meta property="op:markup_version" content="v1.0">                    <link rel="canonical" href="https://www.wtkr.com/news/in-the-community/chesapeake/family-displaced-after-rv-fire-spreads-to-chesapeake-house">                <meta property="fb:article_style" content="default">    </head>            <p>A family is displaced after a fire that started in an RV spread into a Chesapeake home Saturday night.</p><p>Firefighters were called around 8:35 p.m. to the 1000 block of Fox Trail after passing drivers reported an RV on fire next to a home, according to the Chesapeake Fire Department.</p><p>When crews arrived, they found flames coming from the RV, which was parked under a carport beside a two-story house. Firefighters used several hose lines and large water streams to battle the blaze.</p><p>The fire spread from the RV into the home and reached the attic, officials said. Crews initially tried to go inside to attack the fire, but conditions worsened quickly, forcing them to pull out and continue fighting the fire from outside.</p><p>The fire was brought under control at 10:32 p.m.</p><p>One person was inside the home when the fire started but got out safely before firefighters arrived. No injuries were reported.</p><p>Two adults and one child were displaced by the fire. The American Red Cross was contacted to help them.</p><p>The cause of the fire is still under investigation.</p>    </html>]]></content:encoded>

A 47-foot Motor Lifeboat crew from Coast Guard Station Hatteras Inlet launched to respond.</p><p>Before crews arrived, a nearby good Samaritan vessel reached the scene and pulled all four people from the water.</p><p>Dare County EMS later confirmed one person was pronounced dead at the pier. The other three people were recovered safely.</p><p>The Coast Guard said the vessel was operating commercially at the time of the incident. TowBoatUS was on scene working to refloat the boat.</p><p>Officials said no pollution or fuel sheen had been reported.</p><p>The Coast Guard is investigating what led up to the capsizing.</p>    </html>]]></content:encoded>
