I visited in between Beijing - Datong - Ping Yao - Xi’An. There seemed to be quite a few “ancient city” areas in between Beijing and Xi’An. These small old towns tend to be my favourite sort of places to travel, so I loved Ping Yao. The local ecotour operator worked with the local farmers to find and protect the harpy eagle in a win-win situation. WHS #1004: Discovering Møns Klint

As I am the first to review Møns Klint after its inscription at the WHC of 2025, I will start with a summary of what has actually been inscribed. Moulding a Nomination

Visiting a WHS usually is very straightforward: you look at the map where the core zone is and check the OUV statement where the value lies. This process is much more difficult for Tentative Sites, even for ones that are already in the Nomination pipeline.
