Virginia 250 Passport Program The National Museum of the Marine Corps is proud to be a participating site in the Virginia 250 Passport Program, a statewide initiative honoring America’s upcoming Semiquincentennial — the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States. While the National Museum of the Marine Corps IS NOT a passport distribution site, visitors with passports can still collect an official stamp during their visit. Each stamp represents a stop at one of Virginia’s historic destinations, helping tell the story of America’s path to independence and the ideals we continue to defend today. Plan your visit to the Museum and start your passport journey here — where the legacy of the United States Marine Corps comes to life through immersive exhibits, powerful stories, and lasting tributes to service. Passports and stamps are available at the following locations while supplies last: Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation, Monticello, Mount Vernon, Virginia Museum of History & Culture, VA250’s Mobile Museum, and Virginia Tourism’s twelve Welcome Centers across the Commonwealth Please direct all passport-related questions to [email protected] |

Marine Corps Heritage Foundation
A Unique Partnership in Preserving History The National Museum of the Marine Corps is the result of a unique public–private partnership between the United States Marine Corps and the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation (MCHF). The Foundation raised the funds to build the Museum and continues to support its growth through education, preservation, and outreach programs beyond what government resources alone can provide, while the United States Marine Corps manages the exhibits, collections, and daily operations. Together, this partnership ensures the story of America’s Marines is preserved and shared with future generations, inspiring pride, scholarship, and understanding of the Corps’ legacy.
