What Customers Are Saying About Old Style Oracle

This oracle deck is by the same author who created the Old Style Tarot Deck and complements it nicely; so, if you are a fan of the Old Style Tarot Deck I would highly recommend this oracle deck. The illustration style is the same as the tarot deck and each card has a keyword on it; in addition, there is a guidebook that accompanies the deck that offers additional keywords, chakra, colors and category association for each card. The guidebook also provides upright and reverse meanings although they are referred to as "Plus" and "Minus" meanings in the book. They make an excellent clarifier deck to the Old Style Tarot and completes a reading nicely. —Anne Ti, YouTuber

The Old Style Oracle feels like stepping through an ancestral doorway a place where divination, memory, and spirit weave together in that unmistakable “Old World” magic. From the moment you hold the deck, there’s this grounded, ancient warmth to it, like something passed down through a lineage rather than a modern mass print. The artwork carries the essence of bygone eras: muted tones, textured brushwork, and symbolic imagery that invites slow reading and intuitive depth.
What stands out most with this deck is its ability to stir past-life echoes. Every card feels like a story waiting to be reclaimed. The expressions, the body language, the subtle symbolism they all push you into reflection rather than quick interpretation. It’s not just a deck you pull from; it’s a deck you dialogue with. It works beautifully for ancestral work, shadow integration, spiritual healing, and any reading where you’re trying to understand the “why beneath the why.”
In readings, the deck is remarkably honest. It doesn’t sugarcoat but also doesn’t strike harshly. Instead, it speaks like an elder who cares deeply about your growth. Cards flow together with surprising clarity, making spreads feel cohesive and emotionally resonant. If you’re someone who works with past lives, old-world energies, or intuitive storytelling, this deck will feel like home.
Overall, Old Style Oracle is a beautiful companion for anyone who wants depth, soul memory, and gentle but profound insight. A truly timeless oracle, and one I’m so grateful to have in my practice. —Celina, Essence of the Moon YouTube channel

I was drawn to the possibilities teased by the name of this deck, and the beautiful illustrations. The guidebook states “Old Style Oracle is the third and final project in a family of decks designed in the style of antique book engravings from the 15th–19th centuries. Together, with the Old Style Lenormand and the Old Style Tarot, this deck forms a special set, unified by common motifs, patterns, and aesthetics.”
In case you’re wondering, yes, I bought the other two decks in the set after reviewing this one. I mean, how could I not?
The first reading out of the sturdy box, a three card Intuitive Reading, hit home. The suggestion was to ‘feel’ the cards, individually and collectively, and that the guidebook descriptions would probably not be necessary. I found this to be true and found the deeper insight in the book helpful. The guidebook includes descriptions that address the duality of cartomancy (called ‘plus’ and ‘minus’), as well as a personality description for identifying the players in a reading.
There are 52 cards, and the card stock is good quality. The deck itself is simply beautiful, with the invisible border cards transporting the reader to a liminal space between the past and the present. In addition, the illustrations in this well-thought-out system are easily read intuitively, allowing novice readers to begin working with the deck at once, while those preferring more depth can incorporate other systems for a more complex reading.
I feel as though I’ve discovered a deck that I might have overlooked, had it not crossed my desk. While I’m primarily a tarot reader, I’m selectively intrigued by other methods of cartomancy. This one will stick, and I’m excited to possibly attempt combining the three related Old Style decks. —Mary du Plessis, TABI
