Launch of the 2026 Survey of Formal Education

The UNESCO Institute for Statistics (UIS) has officially launched the 2026 Survey of Formal Education, marking the start of the Institute’s latest global education data collection round. The survey has been shared with 163 UNESCO Member States and territories and includes four core questionnaires that generate twenty-one SDG 4 global and thematic indicators, key inputs for international monitoring of progress in education.
