The WTAMU community is saddened today by the death of student Treston Johnson. Treston was a vibrant and active member of the WT family. His untimely death is a great loss to the University, and our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this difficult time.
West Texas A&M University Canyon campus and Harrington Academic Hall WTAMU Amarillo Center will be closed and all classes cancelled due to weather on Wednesday, Feb. 5. Thank you.
Canyon has been named the safest college town in Texas and one of the safest college towns in the entire country by an independent analyst. This is in addition to WT being named the safest college in Texas and one of the Top 10 safest in the country.
Due to weather conditions, #WTAMU will close at 3 p.m. today. All afternoon and evening classes are canceled on Canyon and Amarillo campuses. Campus will remain closed Oct. 27, when a decision will be made whether to remain closed Oct. 28. Thank you, and stay safe, Buffs!
