Where are you based? Hello. I run Thrive London and have three locations across London: Kings Cross, Oxford Circus (Central London) & Battersea/Clapham Junction. I also offer lots of flexibility with breakfast, lunch and post work appointments, together with online via Skype and FaceTime.
What do you love about The Thrive Programme? I love that Thrive flips on its head the idea that symptoms and issues are ‘fixed’ and something to be ‘lived with’ or managed - who wants that? In Thrive we are focusing on your actual cognitive (thinking) skills now - are they up to the job? How well do you process your experiences? What skills and tools do you need right now to overcome your symptoms to move on feeling empowered and confident? My job is to help guide and support you to see that good mental health (or thriving) is more predictable than you might think, and entirely achievable. Having now coached hundreds of different people through the programme, I absolutely love seeing my clients realise they aren’t stuck, there is something they can do, the past doesn’t matter and to support them on their exciting journey forward.
What did you do before you became a Coach? Starting with an honours degree and masters in psychology in 1997, I’ve progressed from there. I’m now 45 and can categorically say that there is nothing out there more effective than Thrive, no matter your starting point, and teaching Thrive is enormously rewarding.
What do you do when you're not working? Generally what makes me happy and makes me smile as often as possible. I love being creative; especially absent-mindedly doodling whatever comes to mind from thinking about my day or from people watching! Otherwise it’s reading, exploring, trying new things, being with family/friends… err, and the occasional glass of wine in a beer garden (admittedly sometimes without the beer garden…).
An interesting fact? I’ve bobsleighed with the GB Olympic Bobsleighing Team down the Olympic slope in Norway. Little known fact – there is no way to slow down a bobsleigh just because it’s your first time!
Anything else? I’ve achieved two awards in Thrive, I’m very approachable, and many of my clients say that they’ve enjoyed their Thrive journey with me: "I found it interesting and eye opening. Fiona made me smile a lot. She is humorous and challenging but in a very good way." I’d love to hear from you.
What languages do you speak? English.
Do you see clients online or face-to-face? Both!
What time zone are you in? I am based in the UK so am in the GMT time zone (BST in summer months).
What are your working hours? I see my clients full time Tuesday to Friday, 9am til 6pm. I have a couple of early evening slots midweek for a small number of clients. Sorry, I thrive my weekends!
