Where are you based? I am based in Hereford, UK which is a relatively small city, however I am originally from Bristol. I lived in Bristol for 19 years, before heading off to Cardiff to study at university. After 3 years of extreme fun, combined with some hard studying, I made the decision to move to Hereford with my boyfriend following graduation..
What do you love about The Thrive Programme? The Thrive Programme is amazing and produces real results - its factual and easy to follow, as long as you put in the right amount of effort. My favourite part about it, is the real examples and activities which make the skill set easy to learn and remember. Without even realising, you'll begin using the tools to control your thoughts as second nature. The programme is easy to follow, and for example the internal/external thinking approach, genuinely makes complete sense once you realise how you have controlled (or had a lack of) previously. The programme is consistently motivating, and the second you realise that its in your power to take back the control of your life, you will never look back.
What did you do before you became a Coach? Before becoming a programme coach, I always knew I was passionate about helping others. I studied to become a primary school teacher, however over the years I recognised that this wasn't quite right for me. I have worked in an office based role for the past 2 years; granted this is a social work type position, but it still was not providing me with the opportunity to help people the way I truly wanted to. I've always been described as the person who is 'easy to talk to', because I genuinely love listening to people in their time of need, and offering what I can to help them overcome life's obstacles. I also love a chat in general, over coffee/wine, it doest need to be for any specific reason..Coaching seemed like the correct direction for me, and I was right!
What do you do when you're not working? When I'm not working, I'll either be walking my dog, spending money on over priced coffee, watching superstore on Netflix, or working on my blog (yes I love writing so much, that I do it as a hobby). On weekends, my time very much involves going out for meals and a couple of drinks with friends. I am a massive social butterfly, and if I don't socialise over the weekend I feel like I've wasted it - I just like being out and about and catching up with people! My 2 favourite activities, are either a coffee catch up or going for a nice large glass of wine. On the odd occasion that I feel active, we live about an hour from the Brecon Beacon waterfalls, which despite being a long walk, is actually a lot of fun as we can bring the dog and even have a little swim (pre warning its freezing). I will prioritise catching up with my family over absolutely anything, as they truly are the most important thing to me. As mentioned previously, they live back in Bristol, which is around 1.5 hour drive from me. About once a week I will travel back for a night to catch up with them and put the world to rights.
An interesting fact? As mentioned above, I have started a blog with my friend that is all about support for new/inexperienced/out of depth mums. To be clear, I'm not yet a mum myself, but recognised the lack of support on offer and wanted to try and make a difference! I absolutely love writing, so its a little hobby I like to do a couple of times a week, whilst I have my pre-bed cup of tea (yes I drink caffeine before bed, and no it doesn't keep me awake).
