Hi, my name is...
Alan Everett

Meet Alan...

Where are you based? I live in a small town near Ascot called Sunningdale, on the edge of a lovely golf course of the same name and very fortunate to have Windsor Great Park and other substantial green spaces all within walking distance..

What do you love about The Thrive Programme? I think what I love most about the programme is that it is so effective! The step-by-step progress that the client makes is visible and tangible to them. The videos make it very accessible and work nicely, concurrent with the book content.

What did you do before you became a Coach? I have enjoyed a most interesting and varied career over the last 43 years, starting work at 18yrs old, a clerk in a merchant bank (as they were called in those days). I progressed in commercial banking for 8 years, studying law, economics & accountancy in night school. Moving jobs occasionally, I ended up working in the Capital Markets as a bond dealer for 10 years until 1996, when I decided that spending time with my three daughters was more important to me than climbing the greasy pole of a banking career. I chose to work in recruitment and took over Sequoia Consulting 100pct in 2000, a business I still own.

However, ahead of the banking and economic collapse of 2008, I had started to train in NLP, gaining certificates at Practitioner, Master Practitioner and Coach. In 2009 I started working as a coach for a year when the opportunity arose to start up a new business, a Construction Company. A founder shareholder and Director of Knowles & Assoc., we grew the business extremely effectively. To such an extent that I was able to sell my shareholding in 2018 and resume my Life-Coaching Career, which I have been doing since then.

What do you do when you're not working? I have a very active and fulfilled lifestyle; being a proficient racquet player, I enjoy Real Tennis and Squash. I am Chair of Spotlights Musical Theatre Company locally – I sing as a tenor and performed in many musicals as well as Gilbert & Sullivan and opera such as Rigoletto. My other passion is as Chair of Trustees of a charity my wife & I helped start ten years ago, The Hope Trust we are effectively a local ‘community chest’ for those in need. In addition, I enjoy working on home improvement projects, property development and spending time with my family.

An interesting fact? I once won a national championship in Real Tennis.

Anything else? Coaching has helped fulfil and realise one of my primary values…which I believe to be that I need to ‘make a difference’ where I can.
