Bringing the dogs
An awesome time had by all! - There were 5 of us, plus 2 dogs, so I booked a table. Really nice meal, friendly staff & good atmosphere. Later on they had live music on so we stayed and had a really great night together. We'll certainly be back. Thank you to the team for a good time.

The Royal Pug is a super accommodating and friendly atmosphere! The assistant manager Charlie and her team were incredibly helpful and nice. We spent two days in the privately hired, upstairs function and nothing was too much for them! Amazing team and amazing venue!

Sunday roast
We popped into The Royal Pug on a Sunday and they managed to find us a table even though out was very busy. Perfect traditional Sunday roast. The service was absolutely spot on!

This was a lovely pub for drinking, with a flashy counter that feels welcoming! I enjoyed a pint of Carling at the sheltered, comfy out door seating and was served by relaxed staff!

Saved by breakfast!
Went for breakfast on new years day. Took willow the puppy in. Everyone there were really nice even with hang overs lol

A cute pub with a really nice outdoor seating area! Staff were quick to take orders and suggest favourites from the menu; and there were loads of vegan and veggie options too. Dogs are welcomed (and loved by everyone there!)

A real pub with real people. Well worth a visit. Once you're there you'll stay longer than intended. The was a complete mix of young people, families, dogs and an older crowd too which really works and was refreshing to see! - We would recommend the Burgers on a Wednesday.

Giving some love to an unloved spot
This was pug pub #2 in Leamington Spa. We didn’t imagine there would be more than one when we opened The Fat Pug* on the edge of town.
The Royal Pug was a first foray into town centre pubs at a time when pubs in Leamington Spa - and nightlife in general - had rather lost their way. Locals loved having a proper pub that embraced great British produce, a more modern offering, and pub staff who love working in pubs.
Years down the line, we are still a real pub, with real people, serving the community and its visitors with a smile (and a woof!).
When we're open
Our doors open at 11am (noon on a Monday) until late, serving lunch during the day and snacks, full-on meals and proper lovingly-produced comfort food well into the evening.
