IN THE wake of recent natural disasters that have disrupted livelihoods in Cebu, Bogo City, through its Public Employment Service Office (Peso), will hold a job fair on Thursday, Dec. 11, 2025, at the Don Celestino Martinez Sr. Sports and Cultural Center.
The special recruitment activity, that will run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., aims to provide thousands of employment opportunities for residents, particularly those who have lost their jobs or sources of income due to the magnitude 6.9 earthquake and typhoons that affected Cebu.
The job fair, organized in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment and the Department of Migrant Workers, will feature both local and international vacancies, with on-the-spot hiring available.
The City Government urges the public to take advantage of the additional employment opportunities available.
Bogo City was severely affected by the magnitude 6.9 earthquake on Sept. 30, which caused widespread damage to homes, infrastructure, and livelihoods. The local government unit lies near the Bogo Bay Fault, a newly discovered active fault line that runs along the northern coast of Cebu.
According to the City Government’s official Facebook page, five overseas and eight local companies, which include hardware and home improvement, staffing and manpower services, healthcare, business process outsourcing and retail supermarkets, will participate.
Job seekers are encouraged to prepare their biodata or resume, Transcript of Records or diploma, high school diploma (if applicable) and passport for overseas opportunities.
