What we do at SolarBuddy

SolarBuddy is a global impact organisation committed to addressing energy poverty.

We deliver life-changing impact across Australia, the Pacific, Southeast Asia, and Sub-Saharan Africa through regional programs that provide sustainable solar solutions. By replacing harmful energy sources, we help children learn, families stay healthy, and communities thrive – while protecting the environment for future generations.

At SolarBuddy, we believe access to energy is a basic human right—and we’re working to ensure no one is left behind.

Ending Energy Poverty

Energy poverty is one of the most pressing yet overlooked challenges global communities are facing.

Globally, over 660 million people live without access to electricity, and 2.1 billion still rely on polluting fuels for cooking. Without access to clean, safe, reliable and affordable energy, communities are unable to meet their most basic needs, such as lighting, cooking, heating, cooling and charging.
