Hello hello! And thanks for checking out our Patreon page! We would be cockahoop if you chose to support us! How does it work? You pledge some money each month for early-access to ad-free versions of the podcast's episodes. Think of it like buying us a lovely cup of hot chocolate each month! What is Smashing Security? If you're visiting this page you probably already know that, right? But in a nutshell, the "Smashing Security" podcast is a helpful and hilarious take on the week's tech screw-ups and cyber scares. Computer security industry veteran Graham Cluley chats with special guests each week about cybercrime, hacking, and online privacy. It's not your typical cybersecurity podcast... The show is lucky enough to have won some awards including Winner of the best and most entertaining cybersecurity podcast awards in 2018, 2019, 2022, 2023, and 2024, Who is behind the podcast? Graham Cluley is an award-winning independent researcher, keynote speaker, podcaster, and writer. He has been a well-known figure in the cybersecurity industry since the early 1990s when he programmed the first ever version of Dr Solomon's Anti-Virus Toolkit for Windows. He has held senior roles in major cybersecurity companies such as Sophos and McAfee, worked with law enforcement agencies on investigations into hacking groups, and has regularly appeared on TV and radio explaining artificial intelligence and computer security threats. As a leading authority, Graham Cluley speaks at industry conferences, and helps raise cybersecurity awareness for some of the world's largest companies. Graham Cluley was inducted into the InfoSecurity Hall of Fame in 2011, and he has been recognised as the originator of the saying that “the cloud is just someone else’s computer” (but he hasn't managed to make any money out of it) As well as the "Smashing Security" podcast, Graham is also the co-host of "The AI Fix". Why Patreon? I LOVE making "Smashing Security". But making the podcast takes many hours each week, as well as a bit of cash. We have been lucky enough to get corporate sponsors who support the show with ads, but we know some listeners would like to hear the show without ads, or receive extra goodies, or just express their love for the show by buying me a cup of hot chocolate each month which will keep us awake as we edit in the wee small hours of the morning. Which is where you come in! What can I do? If you enjoy the show and want me to keep making it, I would be thrilled and honoured if you want to support us with a monthly donation. Every donation counts, and by pledging just five dollars per month, we will love you, and you will be making a huge difference and contributing to the ongoing survival of this show! If you can't afford or don't want to become a patron you can still support the show by telling your friends about it. If you enjoy it, there's a good chance that they will too! I really appreciate everyone who has helped spread the word. The podcast is free, and will always be available for free.  But if you do want to support me I can offer you some extras - such as early access to episodes, and occasional bonus content. I really appreciate your support and thanks for listening! Graham P.S. The way Patreon works is you will be billed right away and immediately have access to all earlier content appropriate for your tier. Then, you will get billed on the first of the month for all the content coming out that month!
