Deprecation Warnings

As part of an upcoming move to new server infrastructure, I will be deprecating some of the current URIs that people may be using to access the Slackware UK service.

If you currently use one of the subdomains:

        www.
        ftp.
        rsync.

And/or the following domain name:

        slackware.org.uk

Please reconfigure your access to use simply:

        slackware.uk

This applies for all protocols used to access the site.

I intend to completely remove the sub-domains and most likely remove the slackware.org.uk -> slackware.uk HTTP redirect by mid May 2026, when the new servers should be fully configured and tested.

Please pass this on to your users if you run a project hosted on Slackware UK and update your scripts accordingly.

I will be contacting people with push access to their areas on the server separately and privately in order to alert them to additional changes in upload locations.
