Snow enthusiasts can take advantage of great conditions and new Stay and Play packages<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the\nfirst snowfall of the year blanketing the mountain, Ski Apache is set to open\nfor the 2019-2020 winter season on Friday, Nov. 29 at 9 a.m.. Whether it\u2019s\nhitting the slopes or flying down the mountain on the Apache Windrider ZipTour,\nthere\u2019s fun in store for the whole family in time for the holidays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are\ncoming off an epic winter last year and an incredibly fun summer, so we hope to\nkeep that momentum going this season,\u201d said Director of Operations Ken Marlatt.\n\u201cWe\u2019ve got some great events planned and some new additions we couldn\u2019t be more\nexcited to share with the community, including our enhanced snow making\ncapabilities that will help fill in some more edges when Mother Nature doesn\u2019t\ncooperate.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ski\nApache is best known for its mild winter temperatures and abundance of\nblue-bird skiing. The mountain\u2019s high elevations, combined with its southerly\nlatitude, gives the resort a unique advantage of seeing abundant snowfall but\ncomfortable weather. It\u2019s this promise of blue-bird days and superb snow\nconditions that lures skiers and riders from far and wide. The resort, owned by\nthe Mescalero Apache Tribe, features 750 skiable acres across 55 runs accessed\nby 11 lifts and\nthe only eight-passenger gondola in the state. Riders can check out the Apache\nBowl at the mountain\u2019s summit or either of two terrain parks at located halfway\ndown and at the bottom of the mountain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
