Has anyone backed their new ridge up at night? Can I tie the reverse lights to the backup beeper or is the Ridge designed like the Mule Pro? Sure would be nice to have a simple plug and play from Kawasaki. I don’t need a beeper. I need to be able to see!

I didn't see a backup light specifically listed, but I didn't find a full street-legal light kit from WD Electronics. I bet they could help you out with a reverse light solution.

Kawasaki doesn't offer a factory backup light, but I did find a backup camera that could be handy.

I sure wish Kawasaki would consider making a plug and play harness to back up lights. Seems to be an easy enough design to make it available through the beeper wires. I don’t mind making up a harness but that shouldn’t be how back up lights work when the machine has a Reverse. They didn’t make many places to even add them but this has been a topic on the mule forum since 2015 at least. Guess they don’t care about these threads and what people are saying they want.

None of the manufacturers do it, to my knowledge, and I don't understand why. I need one on my Defender, and it's more of a pain to install than it should be.

Just installed a rear bumper and added flush mount black out rear pods so I can see at night. The center of the floor comes out so the install was fairly easy. Also added the wiring harness for the ABI utv dump trailer so I can get back to using it for what I need.

Anyone have trouble with the back up beeper wire always being live ? Was going to hook back up lights to it but it is live all the time ? I have a 25 ridge xr

Here is how I wired reverse lights on my 2025 Ridge.
I started with this YouTube video below.

Important note: The lights will come on with vehicle running and gear in reverse. The lights will not come on if the vehicle is not running

How did you wire to your "video" output on your tablet. Do you need a tablet with something other than the USB-C power port?

I have only installed the reverse lights. The YouTube video was done by someone else. I’m not sure how he did it. If I do add one I’ll add details in the forum. You might be able to post a comment on his video and hopefully he will respond. Sorry for any confusion.
