Related Midwest celebrates the start of construction on the new 22,000-seat stadium of the Chicago Fire FC

On March 3, Related Midwest celebrated the start of construction on the new 22,000-seat stadium for the Chicago Fire FC. The stadium marks significant progress in unlocking the site’s long-term potential: What was once underutilized land just outside the Loop is advancing toward becoming a vibrant, mixed-use neighborhood. The development will deliver new housing—including up to 1,000 affordable residences—along with community-focused retail, enhanced infrastructure and more than six acres of publicly accessible open space designed to support year-round activity.

Willets Point Commons is bringing 100% affordable housing to Queens

On February 10, transformative affordable development Willets Point was featured in PIX11, joined by Related Companies EVP Frank Monterisi. Willets Point Commons, which presents 880 residences across two buildings along with public green space, is nearing completion in Queens and preparing for residents to move in starting this April. Beyond the vision to add 2,500 affordable homes and outdoor spaces to New York City, this development represents our commitment to shaping accessible neighborhoods where families can begin, grow and thrive.
