Our models were built with score bands factoring the best and worst vehicles, providing carriers with increased accuracy at point of quote to segment and target their rating factors.
Vehicle Risk Predictor Scoring Models were developed using premium and loss data from multiple insurance carriers. These carriers represented agency, direct, and affinity distribution channels that included independent agents, captive agents, retail agents, and direct-to-consumer distribution via mail, call center, and affinity partnerships. The VRP Models were built as an offset with a GLM model build factoring a modernized carrier underlying rating structure to provide predictive metrics for all coverage lines to include frequency and severity at point of quote. Red Mountain Technologies provides three proprietary models, to include Vehicle Risk Predictor Score 1.0, Vehicle Risk Predictor Score 2.0, and a 2.0 Specialized Physical Damage Model Score.
Red Mountain Technologies provides a verified annual mileage calculation within our vehicle history data. Insurance carriers can use this as a rating variable or as an underwriting strategy.
Red Mountain Technologies has exclusive vendor data relationships to assist with insurance carriers’ rating and underwriting strategies. These relationships include our nationwide wholesale and auto auction partnerships to receive the most recent updates to a vehicle to include frame damage, stolen vehicles, flooded vehicles, branded titles, salvage rebuilds, odometer readings, odometer rollbacks/rollovers, and many more recent updates correlated to the vehicle. This, along with other exclusive vendor relationships, assists carriers with their rating accuracy at time of quote.
