><p>Thirty-seven skilled <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reaseheath.ac.uk\/further-education\/courses\/engineering-apprenticeships\/\">agricultural engineering technicians<\/a> have marked the completion of their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reaseheath.ac.uk\/apprenticeships\/\">apprenticeship<\/a>s at Reaseheath College, Nantwich.<\/p>\n<p>The apprentices, who attend college on a block release basis, are employed by the UK and Ireland dealer network for leading manufacturers such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.caseih.com\/emea\/en-gb\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CASE<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/agriculture.newholland.com\/eu\/en-uk?market=uk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New Holland<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.claas.co.in\/\">CLAAS<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jcb.com\/en-gb\">JCB<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Recognised as one of the UK\u2019s leading colleges for land based engineering, Reaseheath is a key training provider for these companies, which have considerable input into the programme to ensure it delivers the practical skills and technical knowledge required by the industry. The companies donate top-of-the-range machinery and equipment for the apprentices\u2019 technical training and the programme includes manufacturer-specific sessions offsite.<\/p>\n<p>The apprentices, who are selected by their employers for progression, study in Reaseheath\u2019s new Advanced Engineering and Agri-Tech Centre and achieve an IMI <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reaseheath.ac.uk\/further-education\/courses\/engineering-apprenticeships\/\">Level 3 Diploma in Land Based Technology<\/a> on completion. There are 150 technicians on this thriving three year programme,<\/p>\n<p><strong>Individual Awards went to:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Apprentice of the Year <\/strong>Harry James (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.lloyd.ltd.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lloyd Ltd., Newcastle<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Best practical apprentice\u00a0<\/strong>Matthew Jones (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pontesburytractors.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pontesbury Tractors, Shropshire<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Best academic apprentice\u00a0<\/strong>Rupert Hayes (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ernestdoe.com\/\">Ernest Doe, Suffolk<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Award for Endeavour<\/strong> Jonathan Randon (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.anglia.claas-dealer.co.uk\/contact-us\/market-harborough\">Manns, Market Harborough<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Engine Project Award<\/strong> Louis Copeland (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.eastern.claas-dealer.co.uk\/\">CLAAS Eastern, York<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Best JCB Apprentice<\/strong> Tom Jellis (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.olivers.claas-dealer.co.uk\/\">Olivers, Luton<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>Course manager Tom Scott said: \u201cThis was a very competent cohort who will progress into successful careers in the agricultural engineering industry.
