{"id":55318,"date":"2016-05-20T10:45:24","date_gmt":"2016-05-20T09:45:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.reaseheath.ac.uk\/?p=55318"},"modified":"2016-05-20T15:52:31","modified_gmt":"2016-05-20T14:52:31","slug":"in-house-butchery-training-for-major-supermarket","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.reaseheath.ac.uk\/in-house-butchery-training-for-major-supermarket\/","title":{"rendered":"In-house butchery training for major supermarket"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Butchers from a major supermarket chain spent a bespoke training day extending their knife skills in the butchery department of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.reaseheathfoodcentre.com\">Reaseheath\u2019s Food Centre<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The ten employees, a mix of team managers, line leaders, technicians and Quality Assurance staff, are based at the retailer\u2019s Winsford site which supplies the fresh meat for all UK sites.\u00a0 They are part of a substantial team responsible for processing fresh, chilled and formed products for in-store counter sale and also for its popular on-line butchery service.<\/p>\n<p>The highly practical sessions were taught by Simon Hoyland, a butchery advisor for the retailer, and were held in our industry standard butchery facilities. This is the first time this supermarket have used our resources for in-house butchery training, and follows successful \u00a0discussions between\u00a0 Emily Fisher, Commercial Development Manager for our Food Centre, Simon Hoyland and key decision makers.<\/p>\n<p>The supermarket\u2019s People Advisor and Trainer, who attended the training session, said: \u201cIt is really important to us that our butchery staff continue to advance their professional training.
