In particular, the college had shown itself to be excellent at developing and embracing new technologies, and had continued to invest in many new facilities and teaching resources, to a total of over \u00a3100million.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Marcus also urged every student to be proud of the qualification they had completed, as it would enable them to stand out from the crowd\u2013 particularly when complemented by extra programmes such as BeReady and BeMore. These programmes support life skills by encouraging students to become involved in community and voluntary roles and generally to give of their best.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The efforts of Reaseheath\u2019s Student Union received a special mention, as RAG (Raising and Giving) activities organised for students and staff raised \u00a320,000 for this year\u2019s charity, the British Heart Foundation.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The ceremonies were opened by Jane Cowell OBE, Chair of the Reaseheath College Board.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Guests of Honour were Twm Tegid Brunton, a former forestry and arboriculture student who is pursuing a dual career as an opera singer alongside running his own forestry business, business and events alumnus Belle Farebrother, who is seeking a graduate traineeship after completing a degree at Nottingham Trent Business School, and equine alumnus Samantha Stevens, a content creator for an equestrian marketing and media consultancy.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">A vote of thanks was given by Stephanie Frazer, President of the Student
