If you require further information or have any general enquires about learning support at Reaseheath please email <a href=\"mailto:LSC@reaseheath.ac.uk\">LSC@reaseheath.ac.uk<\/a> or call on 01270 613199.<\/p>\n<h5>Support at Reaseheath<\/h5>\n<p><strong>Application<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you have a learning difficulty or disability, please answer \u2018yes\u2019 to any relevant questions on your application.<\/p>\n<p>Once your application is processed, you will be contacted for an interview. If you feel you need support at interview, please let us know on your application.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Interview<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The interview for a college course will include a series of questions about wellbeing and learning support.<br \/>\nPlease provide as much accurate information as you feel is necessary so that the LSC can determine the level of support that you need.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Support Planning<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you are successful at interview and given a conditional offer,\u00a0 if you agree to be contacted by the LSC,\u00a0 we will then get in touch to\u00a0discuss support and offer the opportunity to complete a support plan.<\/p>\n<p><strong>EHCPs<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please let the college know in interview if you have a EHCP along with any other relevant support information.<\/p>\n<h5>Support we can Offer<\/h5>\n<p>We will look to support every student&#8217;s individual learning requirements; some support options may include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support at interview<\/li>\n<li>Transition support<\/li>\n<li>Assignment support<\/li>\n<li>In-class support<\/li>\n<li>Spld specific support<\/li>\n<li>Assistive Technology and equipment e.g. laptops, software, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Modification of learning materials<\/li>\n<li>Exam access arrangements<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>Assessing your Support Options<\/h5>\n<p>When assessing your support options we may need to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Meet with you to discuss your needs and complete a Support Plan<\/li>\n<li>Attend Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) meetings and reviews (if applicable)<\/li>\n<li>Gather relevant information\/evidence to further understand your needs<\/li>\n<li>Communicate on a regular basis with teaching staff to share the relevant information and provide updates regarding your progress<\/li>\n<li>Support teaching staff with information and training about specific learning difficulties and disabilities<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with other support areas in the college<\/li>\n<li>Review the support you receive on a regular basis<\/li>\n<li>Discuss and agree any changes that will be made to your support with you<\/li>\n<li>Promote your independence<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>Support Plans<\/h5>\n<p>A Support Plan is a document created by a learner with the assistance of LSC staff.<\/p>\n<p>This document tells teaching and support staff what they need to do to assist you in accessing your course and achieving your qualification.<\/p>\n<p>The plan will contain information about the things you may find difficult and the strategies to overcome the barriers you may encounter at college.
