{"id":910,"date":"2025-08-08T09:20:51","date_gmt":"2025-08-08T07:20:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.polyester.nl\/?p=910"},"modified":"2025-09-04T08:59:36","modified_gmt":"2025-09-04T06:59:36","slug":"carbon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.polyester.nl\/carbon","title":{"rendered":"Carbon"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Carbon (koolstofvezel)<\/h2>\n<p>Carbon is een synoniem voor koolstofvezel, maar wat is het nu precies?\u00a0Koolstofvezel is een materiaal dat bestaat uit extreem dunne vezels van koolstof.<\/p>\n<p>De vezels met een dikte van ca. 5 &#8211; 10 micrometer bestaan uit langgerekte koolstofkristallen die min of meer evenwijdig zijn met de vezels. De vezel kenmerkt zich door een zeer kleine rek voordat de vezel breekt (minder dan een kwart van die van aramidevezel). Enige duizenden vezels worden getwijnd tot garen, dat als zodanig toegepast wordt, of eerst tot matten geweven wordt. De vezels en de matten worden voornamelijk gebruikt als versterking in kunsthars voor de fabricage van zeer sterke en lichte composieten. Koolstofvezel wordt soms &#8220;grafietvezel&#8221; genoemd. Dit is incorrect omdat grafiet een zeer zachte vorm van koolstof is die geen vezelstructuur heeft.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Koolstofvezels worden gemaakt uit acrylvezels die door middel van pyrolyse bij temperaturen tot 3000\u00a0\u00b0C verkoold worden.<\/p>\n<h2>Eigenschappen van Carbon<\/h2>\n<p>Koolstofvezel heeft als eigenschap dat het niet oxideert onder invloed van water en zuurstof. Het heeft een aanmerkelijk lagere dichtheid dan staal, een grote treksterkte en een lage uitzettingsco\u00ebffici\u00ebnt. Deze eigenschappen maken koolstofvezel-composieten zeer geschikt voor toepassingen waar een laag gewicht, grote sterkte en grote stijfheid nodig zijn, zoals in:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.polyester.nl\/flight-simulator\">de luchtvaart<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.polyester.nl\/polyester-auto\">de auto-industrie<\/a><\/li>\n<li>sportartikelen, zoals polsstokken, roeiboten, fietsen, masten en gieken voor de windsurf branche en voor zeiljachten.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.polyester.nl\/polyester-toepassingen\">de bouwindustrie<\/a>, voornamelijk als uitwendige wapening.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Carbon (koolstofvezel) Carbon is een synoniem voor koolstofvezel, maar wat is het nu precies?\u00a0Koolstofvezel is een materiaal dat bestaat uit extreem dunne vezels van koolstof.
