Edited in the Department of Philosophy at Columbia University

The Journal of Philosophy publishes philosophical articles of current interest and encourage the interchange of ideas, especially the exploration of the borderline between philosophy and other disciplines. Founded in 1904 as The Journal of Philosophy, Psychology and Scientific Methods, it has published under its present name without interruption since 1921. It is internationally respected as a leading publication in the field.

Contributors include G. E. M. Anscombe, Rudolf Carnap, Noam Chomsky, Arthur Danto, John Dewey, Herbert Feigl, Nelson Goodman, Sidney Hook, Susanne Langer, Charles W. Morris, Martha Nussbaum, Hilary Putnam, W. V. Quine, John Rawls, Bertrand Russell, and Amartya Sen.
