PACKAGING DESIGN FOR ALLANA – INDIA LAUNCH AND GLOBAL EXPANSION 

Client Overview: Allana Group, a global leader in the production and export of premium frozen and chilled meat, approached us to design the packaging for their India launch of two distinct product lines: buff meat under the brand name Saffa and mutton under the brand Premier. With a rich history and an esteemed reputation for delivering high-quality Halal boneless meat, Allana required packaging that would captivate Indian consumers and reflect their global standing. 

Project Scope: The project spanned multiple facets of branding and packaging, focusing on: 

  1. Brand identity creation 

  2. Packaging design for Indian retail and export markets 

  3. Point of Sale (POS) collaterals 

  4. HORECA segment labels

INDIAN RETAIL PACKAGING 

Objectives: To establish a strong visual identity that appeals to Indian consumers while communicating the brand's core values: sustainability, trust, and health. 

Design Approach: 

Color Palette: 

  1. Green: Signifying sustainable meat production and health benefits. 

  2. Blue: Representing trust and reliability, key traits of Allana’s brand. 

Logo Design:

The logos for Saffa and Premier were crafted to be simple yet impactful, using modern typography with elements that echoed nature and freshness. 

Packaging: 

  1. Frozen meat packaging designed to highlight freshness, nutritional benefits, and premium quality. 

  2. Multiple SKUs (sizes and variations) were created for cohesive branding while ensuring each product stood out. 

  3. Clean, bold fonts combined with vivid graphics for visual appeal. 

Impact: The design resonated with Indian consumers, establishing a strong connection with the target audience across PAN India.

GLOBAL MARKET PACKAGING 

Objective: To create export market-specific packaging, tailored for diverse preferences across international regions. 

Design Features: 

Product Categories: 

  1. Packaging was designed for chunks, cubes, slices, minced, and veal meat. 

  2. Each category was represented with distinct and identifiable color-coded visuals for easy consumer recognition. 

Visual Storytelling: 

  1. Designs emphasized the organic, nutritional, and Halal-certified benefits of the products. 

  2. Export packaging reflected global aesthetics while maintaining synergy with the Indian designs to strengthen brand recall. 

Outcome: The packaging successfully communicated Allana’s commitment to quality, helping them expand their reach in competitive international markets.

Objective: To create functional yet visually striking labels for Allana’s HORECA (Hotels, Restaurants, and Catering) segment under the brands Awal, Frigerio, and Khallej

Design Highlights:

  2. Differentiated by unique brand tones, while maintaining a cohesive identity within the Allana family.

  • Multiple SKUs were designed as a cohesive system — each product stood out individually while the full shelf presence read as a unified premium brand family.

  • Export packaging was adapted for international aesthetic preferences across multiple regions while maintaining visual synergy with Indian designs — protecting global brand recall.
