I'm an audio-visual artist, videomaker, educator, community manager, and indie game developer. I'm dedicated to utilizing, improving and spreading open-source creative tools both for casual as well as professional use - within reason (sometimes your don't have a choice, or the FOSS path would not be available or sufficient etc.).I used to do monthly livestreams and in-depth video tutorials regarding open-source audio production software, as well as explaining general audio engineering concepts utilizing the libre tools.Now I do a little bit of everything, keeping FOSS and the community on my mind as always.--- A bit of historyOver many years I have created a wealth of videos about open-source music production. I've built a community focused around that and have been fostering it ever since. Around 2022~23 life have forced me to hit the brakes.Here's the <a href="https://youtu.be/GHx6qyQZNjc" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">video</a> where I publicly announced ending my educational project. In it I asked my supporters to consider withdrawing their pledges as I found myself no longer able to keep up making videos and monthly livestreams. Regardless of that - many people have kept their support, which I took as a thank you for what I've done throughout the years.The <a href="https://chat.unfa.xyz" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">community chat</a> is going strong and it keeps growing.--- Below is an old text of this page, kept for historic value - it haven't been updated in a long time.I make videos for <a href="https://www.youtube.com/unfa000" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">YouTube</a>, where I share my&nbsp;knowledge and passion regarding creating electronic music with open-source software and GNU/Linux operating systems. I want to inspire people to get creative and to express themselves through sounds, using free (as in freedom) software. The tools are there: most of us already have more than capable computers. All the software you will need is freely available - created by the people for the people. But there's something missing: inspiration and knowledge. And that's why I'm here. Your support will allow me to dedicate more time to making quality videos for you to learn from, and to support open-source audio developers who craft the tools for us. The open-source software universe can already do a lot (that I hope <a href="https://unfa.bandcamp.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">my discography</a> shows). The software is intended to make music, if I don't make music with it - I have nothing to teach you.
