About my project Swords 'n Magic and Stuff is a cute, casual open world RPG set in a world of classic fantasy monsters and mythos. King Owynn, a kind and generous ruler has been afflicted with a dark curse and as such has hid himself away. His great paladins, the only protectors of the realm, have all disappeared on a quest to cure their king, leaving the kingdom of Tirawyn exposed to looming threats. Play a blank slate character and follow whatever path you choose, be it a great warrior on a quest to rid the lands of evil or a simple farmer trying to make a living selling his goods. The world is a vast sandbox for you to explore and discover at your will. Mac is still in progress and not publicly released. Shortly after the full launch I'd love to release the game on consoles as well if all goes well. Early Access is perfect for this game. It was MADE for Early Access. We'll be able to add content, features, polish and balance to the game throughout the Early Access period. You'll be able to submit valuable feedback and criticism that will be taken directly into account as we work on the coming updates. We plan on updating one to four times a month to keep players engaged and updated on the status of the game.  About Me I'm Michael Kocha and I was the sole developer of Swords 'n Magic and Stuff. At the end of  2019 I hired a programmer to help bring online multiplayer to the game. After the success of our Kickstarter, I hired on a level designer, Wendy, to help bring the world to life. About a month before EA release, I hired on Joe to help with AI and animations. I've been making games for over 10 years now. I've made games played by Markiplier and Jacksepticeye and graduated as valedictorian with a degree in 3d game art.  I'm 34 years old, husband to a supportive and very understanding wife named Janna and father to an 8 year old named Abigail who's too smart for her own good. Currently pregnant with our second, a boy, due February 2023. Our family lives and breathes video games. We play all sorts of games together and cherish the memories they bring. I'm making Swords 'n Magic and Stuff as a love letter to my wife and daughter and our love to explore and discover new worlds together as a family. No games really scratch that itch we have for cooperative adventure with an emphasis on creative freedom and discovery. I really hope to fill that void, and do it justice while I'm at it. I love making games. It's my passion and my life. I'm at peace when I'm designing and building worlds for people to explore. I grew up with two younger brothers and four younger cousins who were always looking to me for new and interesting things to do and play. Game design has always been a part of my life and I'd love to turn it into a career with the help of you. Why Patreon? I've grown a very humble following through live-streaming my development on Twitch. This was a fantastic source of revenue for me early on and it helped pay for many development expenses including sound effects, music, web hosting, engine plugins, office supplies, and development hardware and software. But the Twitch world is ever-changing and last year when Twitch killed the Creative section, my stream all but died along with it. With no curious new eyes browsing through Creative, my stream couldn't grow as fast as it needed to thoroughly build an audience for my game. My source of income also dwindled after this change and Twitch was no longer a viable, sustainable option for me, though I still stream weekly for my community. This Patreon is intended to help fund the development of Swords 'n Magic, and perhaps future game projects. Game development gets expensive. Sure, you can get started for next to free these days, but when your project begins to grow, it takes a village. I started the development of this game with a small community watching and contributing, and it only seems fitting that I keep that growing community in the forefront.  I'm hoping Patreon will help make that a real possibility. <h4 style="text-align: center;">Thank you for any and all of your support!</h4>
