Noworyta Gets 100th Win Behind Strong Start

CarL Columbia Fireflies KANNAPOLIS, N.C. - The Fireflies bats worked behind a strong start from Ryan McDonagh to claim their second-straight win over Kannapolis, this time 4-1 Wednesday afternoon at Atrium Health Ballpark. MWL Fort Wayne TinCaps EASTLAKE, Ohio. - The Fort Wayne TinCaps fired the 18th one-hitter in franchise history in Tuesday night's 6-2 win over the Lake County Captains (Guardians affiliate). Right-hander Matthew Watson got his first professional win for Fort Wayne (30-40, 3-1). Watson went six innings, a career high, and allowed the lone hit of the evening. Last week in Frederick, the 'Burgers brought the tying run to the plate in the ninth in four straight games. The series opener against Winston-Salem stayed true to the trend, as the Spartanburgers (2-2, 36-34) beat the Dash (1-3, 39-31) 5-4 on a walk-off passed ball.
