EAGLE-I

Energy situational awareness is essential for national security and critical infrastructure resilience. ORNL manages DOE’s Environment for Analysis of Geo-Located Energy Information (EAGLE-I), the federal source for real-time situational awareness of US energy infrastructure. It provides decision-makers with essential capabilities and information for the electricity, oil, and natural gas sectors. EAGLE-I collects electric utility customer data every 15 minutes from more than 450 utilities and aggregates the data into county, state, and zip code representations including historic trends.
