Expelled Students Program

The Expelled Students Program (ESP) is located at Blackburn, 2606 Hamilton St., Omaha, NE 68131. Once the student placement office notifies ESP of the expulsion, the building secretary will contact the parent(s)/guardian(s) to set up an individual orientation meeting. Students who wish to attend the program must go through an orientation meeting along with an ESP administrator and their parent(s)/guardian(s) before starting classes. This orientation session is designed to give an overview of the program to parents/guardians and set expectations for students as they will join already established classrooms. Students will review school-wide expectations, receive their class schedule, and all high school students will have a review of current high school credits. All high school students are required to complete 70 hours of community service.

Transportation Options

School Bus: The Expelled Students Program does not provide transportation on school buses.

Metro Bus: Students can utilize the Metro bus system. Bus routes and times can be found at the Ometro website. During this time, if students have a current school ID, they can ride the Metro bus for free.

Parent/Guardians Transportation: Parents/Guardians are always welcome to transport their student to and from school. When dropping off or picking up your student, please park in a parking spot. As the northwest parking lot can become congested, we encourage you to pick your student up at their specific dismissal time. All students will exit from the Northwest door.

Student Transportation: Students who have a valid drivers license can drive to and from the Expelled Students Program.  In order to park, we will need a copy of the student's drivers license and proof of insurance. Students will also need to complete the appropriate paperwork.

Students should not arrive at the Expelled Students Program more than 5 minutes before the start of their session and should be picked up or leave campus within 5 minutes of their last bell.
