British Columbia gives out injectable naloxone kits through its Take Home Naloxone program.
These kits are free to individuals at risk of experiencing an opioid drug poisoning and those who may respond, such as family, friends and other community members. Naloxone can temporarily reverse a drug poisoning from opioids and can help to save a life.
This short training tool will teach you how to tell if somebody is experiencing an opioid drug poisoning (overdose), and how to respond with a BC Take Home Naloxone kit.
If you are taking this training at a hospital, you may be asked to notify an attendant before you begin.
